
Cassandra B. Meynard
Cassandra B. Meynard, an Associate in the Litigation Section of Mesch, Clark & Rothschild, graduated from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law in 2008.
While in law school, she was an Ares Fellow in Contracts and a James Boyer Scholar. Additionally, she held clerkships for the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Asylum Project of Southern Arizona.
Cassandra grew up in Washington D. C. and went to the University of Mary Washington, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the College of Biology. During her college years, she worked as a Data Collector for the U.S. Forest Service in the Dixie National Forest in Utah and in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. After graduating, she joined the Peace Corps and worked in the areas of conservation and desertification in West Africa. She stayed on in Africa, volunteering on various projects in Mali and Ghana, including founding the Tamale Children’s Home Renovation Project, coordinating the Bosbel soy refinery management restructuring, acting as a Coordinator for the Organization for Technical Training, and translating for a French-South African gold mine construction project.
She moved to Tucson to pursue a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona, where she was the Recipient of the Minnie M. Torrence Award in Fiction. She then worked for several years as a technical writer and editor for Raytheon and Honeywell prior to attending law school.
In addition to her interests in travel and literature, Cassandra loves to hike and trains in Muay Thai kick boxing.
