Samuel D. Alfred

Samuel D. Alfred joined Mesch, Clark & Rothschild in September 2004. With thirty-five years experience, and having tried to conclusion more than 100 civil jury trials, Sam brought a great depth of skill and a high level of effectiveness to Litigation Section of the firm.

A native of Burlington, Vermont, his early years were spent on a dairy farm not far from Lake Champlain.

He received his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Arizona. He earned his J.D. in 1971 from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. He began his law practice in 1972 with the firm that eventually became Duffield, Young, Adamson and Alfred, P.C.

Prior to practicing law, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and then attended the U.S. Army Quartermaster Branch School in Fort Lee, Virginia. He was a member of the United States Army Reserves for six years.

Sam's professional affiliations include the American Bar Association Tort Litigation Section, the State Bar of Arizona, the Pima County Bar Association and the Tucson Defense Bar Association, of which he is a past president.

In his free time, Alfred champions his children's volleyball, basketball and track teams and is an enthusiastic supporter of the Arizona Wildcats.
