Michael J. Crawford

Michael J. Crawford, a partner at the firm, has been with Mesch Clark & Rothschild since 2006.  He is a trial lawyer with an extensive background in civil and commercial litigation, plaintiff personal injury and medical malpractice matters.  

Michael, who served on the Tucson City Council from 1995 to 1997, received his B.S. in Computer Science from Wright State University in 1988 and his J.D. from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1991. He then clerked for the Honorable William E. Druke, Arizona Court of Appeals, after which he joined the Pima County Public Defender’s office.  In 1999, he went into private practice, working for O'Connor Cavanagh and eventually becoming a partner at Chandler Udall, LLP, before coming to Mesch, Clark & Rothschild.  In 2007, Michael was elected to a three-year term on the Arizona State Bar Board of Governors.  He also serves as a Judge Pro Tempore for the Pima County Superior Court and as Adjunct Professor at the University of Arizona College of Law.

Michael is active in the community, serving on several boards and committees including the Rialto Theatre Foundation (President), the Tucson Convention Center Commission (Chairman), the Downtown Tucson Partnership (Executive Committee), and the Lohse Downtown YMCA.  He is a former member of the board of Tucson Downtown Alliance, the Rio Nuevo Citizens Advisory Committee, The Haven, the City of Tucson Blue Ribbon Charter Advisory Commission and Arizona Common Cause.
